Position Overview:

As a key member of the Executive Management team, the Chief Financial Officer (hereafter CFO) will report to the CEO/President and assume a strategic role in the overall management of the company. The members of the executive team will participate in the overall evaluation of CFO performance.

The CFO will have primary day-to-day responsibility for planning, implementing, managing and controlling all financial-related activities of the company. This includes direct responsibility for accounting (especially payables, collections and escrow accounts), financial analysis, forecasting, strategic planning, legal, property management, contract management (analysis and negotiations), investor/banking relationships and outsourced third party relationships related to finance (payroll, benefits, health care, 401K) tax returns (CPA firm), and human resources,  



  • Direct and oversee all aspects of the Finance & Accounting and Human Resource and Office functions of the company
  • Provide leadership in the development of continuous evaluation of short and long-term strategic financial objectives, including the impact of introducing new programs and technologies
  • Manage processes for financial forecasting, budgets and consolidation and reporting to the CEO/Executives
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with senior executives so as to identify their needs and seek full range of business solutions
  • Ensure credibility of Finance Department by providing timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial trends and forecasts
  • A hands-on leadership management style of developing, implementing, and maintaining a comprehensive system to analyze each business segment’s contribution to the bottom line profit
  • Provide recommendations to strategically enhance financial performance and business opportunities
  • Seek outside sources of information to assist executives in developing appropriate metrics to become best in class for the company’s business segments
  • Ensure that effective internal controls are in place and ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, state and local regulatory laws rules and timing for financial and tax reporting.



  • BS in Accounting or Finance, MBA and/or CPA, CFM degrees highly desirable
  • 10+ years in progressively responsible financial leadership roles in a major company/corporation, preferably in business segments associated with this corporation
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate and manage at all levels of the organization is essential
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment with a start-up mindset
  • Strong problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Quickbooks and other financial software platforms
